Bio

Sue Acker has been hired as the assistant coach for the women’s soccer team beginning with the 2021 season.

A Hilton, N.Y. resident, Acker has more than thirty years of previous soccer coaching experience, most recently serving as the assistant women’s soccer coach at her alma mater, SUNY Geneseo, in 2018 and 2019.

Acker has also served as the junior varsity girls soccer coach and the head coach of the seventh- and eighth-grade girls soccer teams in the Hilton Central School District.

Acker was a defender at SUNY Geneseo, helping the program claim a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) and three Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) championships during her time with the Knights.

After graduating from Geneseo, Acker moved to Pittsburgh, Pa. and formed a girls varsity soccer program at Keystone Oaks Schools before relocating to Rochester, N.Y. She has also been a math teacher in the Hilton School District since 1998. Acker lives in Hilton with her husband, Mark, and sons Curtis and Jason.
