Bio

Sean Marren was named the Assistant Director of Athletics at the start of the 2019-20 academic year. Marren previously was an Admissions Recruiter in the Finger Lakes' Admissions department.

Coach Sean Marren just concluded his eighth season as head coach of the Finger Lakes Community College baseball program. He was named both the 2019 MSAC Coach of the Year and NJCAA Region III Coach of the Year. He lead the Lakers to the NJCAA Region III Final Four Championship where they were the Runners Up. In his 2016 season, the Lakers posted a program record of 40 wins in a season and qualified for the Sub-Regional tournament. In addition, Marren was named 2016 MSAC Coach of the Year. In the 2022 season, the Lakers earned their third-straight appearance in the NJCAA Region III Final Four.

Before entering the coaching ranks, Marren played 4 years of collegiate baseball, earned 4 letters, and was a 3-time All-Conference Selection and a 1-time All-Region Selection. Marren holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and American Studies from Mary Washington. In the summer of 2014, he completed his Master's degree from California University of Pennsylvania in Sport Management. In addition to his coaching duties, he also serves as the Assistant Director of Athletics.

Marren currently resides in Fairport, NY, with his wife, Bethany, and daughters, Maeve and Josephine.
