Baseball Splits With Erie Community College

The Finger Lakes Community College baseball team split a double header matchup with Erie Community College on Tuesday, April 12.  The Lakers are now 19-6 overall this season.

The Lakers took game one by a score of 5-3 over the Kats.  Reston Pettit pitched a complete game allowing nine hits and three runs while striking out three batters.  Jon Warner, Cole Tracy, James Mitchell and Caden Giroux had two hits apiece.  Danny Goodbread and James Mitchell both hit a double for the Lakers.  As a team, the Lakers tallied up 11 total hits.

The Lakers dropped game two against the Kats by a score of  5-4.  Michael Donofrio got the start on the mound for the Lakers.  He recorded four strikeouts in five innings pitched.  Garrett Cuningham and Stephen Fredenall pitched for one inning apiece recording a total of four strikeouts. James Mitchell finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and one scored run.  Mike Magnanti had two RBI's. 

The Lakers will begin their four game series with Onondaga Community College this weekend. They will travel to OCC on Saturday, April 16, for a double header before returning home on Sunday, April 17, to finish out the series.
