Head Coach Marren Gets 100th Win

Head baseball coach Sean Marren received his 100th career win against Erie Community College on Thursday, April 14.  The Lakers split with the Kats in the double header and are now 20-7 overall this season.

The Lakers fell to the Kats in game one after nine innings by a score of 4-3.  Peter Simmons pitched six innings for the Lakers recording three strikeouts while allowing only one earned run. Jon Warner finished 2-for-4 with an RBI.  Mike Magnanti scored all three runs for the Lakers.  

The Lakers took game two of the double header by a score of 4-1.  Noah Gorton pitched a complete game for the Lakers, allowing two hits while striking out eight batters.  Mike Magnanti finished 3-for-3 with an RBI.  Danny Goodbread went 2-for-4 with an RBI.  Jon Warner and Nick Ferrino had one hit apiece.  

The Lakers will face the Lazers from Onondaga Community College in a four games series this weekend.  They will travel to OCC on Saturday, April 16, for a double header before returning home to finish out the series on Sunday, April 17.
