Lakers Baseball Splits with Cougars

The Finger Lakes Community College baseball team split with the Cougars from Genesee Community College in a double header on Tuesday, April 26.  The Lakers are now 28-13 overall this season.

The Lakers fell to the Cougars in game one, 12-3.  Reston Pettit pitched five innings for Finger Lakes, allowing four earned runs and striking out five batters.  Isaiah Merced finished 3-for-3. Cole Tract and Jon Warner had two hits, including a double each, and one run scored apiece. Tracy and JT Angora had one RBI each.

The Lakers topped the Cougars in game two, 6-5.  Michael Donofrio pitched a complete ame for the Lakers, allowing only three earned runs and striking out three batters.  Danny Goodbread finished 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI's.  James Mitchell also had two hits.  The Lakers tallied ten total hits in game two.  

The Laker will finishe out their series with Genesee Community College on Thursday, April 28, in a double header beginning at 2PM.  Following Thursday's double header, the Lakers will begin their four game series with Niagara County Community College on Saturday, April 30.
