Lakers Top Panthers at Home

The Finger Lakes Community College baseball team swept the Panthers from Tompkins Cortland Community College in a MSAC double header on Tuesday, May 3rd.  With the sweep, the Lakers improve their record to 33-14 overall and 11-3 in the MSAC.

The Lakers topped the Panthers in game one by a score of 6-2.  Reston Pettit pitched a complete game, allowing only one earned run while striking out four batters at the plate.  Danny Goodbread finished 3-for-3 with one run scored and two stolen bases.  JT Angora went 2-for-3 with two RBI's.  

The Lakers took game two by a score of 10-3 over the Panthers.  Micheal Donofrio got the start on the mound for the Lakers, pitching five complete innings.  He had seven strikeouts while allowing no earned runs.  Mike Magnanti finished 3-for-3, including a double and a triple.  Magnanti added three RBI's and three runs scored.  Danny Goodbread, Austin Teets and Connor Truitt all finished with two hits apiece.  Warner and Goodbread each had one double and two RBI's.  

The Lakers will finish out their series with the Panthers on Tuesday, May 10th.  Prior to Tuesday's matchup, the Lakers will face Jamestown CC and Corning CC in double headers over the weekend.
