Lakers Baseball Now On 3-0 Run

The Finger Lakes Community College baseball team has won three straight after defeating Ocean County College, Illinois Valley Community College and Lehigh Carbon Community College.  With the wins, the Lakers improve to 9-2 overall.  

The Lakers defeated Ocean County College on Monday night, March 21, by a final score of 9-6.  Cole Tracy went 3-for-4 with an RBI and one run scored.  JT Angora and Mike Magnanti went 2-for-4 with an RBI apiece.  Magnanti also scored two runs.  Finger Lakes tallied twelve total hits.

Bryce MacClurg got the start on the mound for Finger Lakes against Illinois Valley Community College on Tuesday, March 22.  He pitched four innings and recorded four strikeouts.  Colton Cerevolo came in as the relief pitcher for two innings, striking out one batter and allowing no hits.  Jon Warner went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.  Isaiah Merced finished 2-for-4 with three RBI's and two runs scored.  Nick Slobodiak also went 2-for-4 with two RBI's and two runs scored. The Lakers finished with a season high of fourteen total hits.

The Lakers defeated Lehigh Carbon Community College by a final score of 2-0 in their final game on Tuesday, March 22.  Reston Pettit pitched a complete game, recording nine strikeouts and allowing just one hit.  Danny Goodbread finished 2-for-2 with one run scored.  JT Angora and Caden Giroux finished 1-for-2.  

Finger Lakes will continue their spring break competition today, facing off against Lehigh Carbon Community College for a second time.
