Lakers Baseball Drops 2 Against Northampton CC

The Finger Lakes Community College baseball team lost both games in their double header matchup against Northampton Community College.  With the losses, the Lakers drop to 6-2 overall.

Cole DuBois got the start on the mound for Finger Lakes in game one on Sunday night, March 20.  He pitched 5 innings and recorded 4 strikeouts.  Richard Hurd came in as the relief pitcher for the final two innings, striking out 5 batters.  Mike Magnanti went 4-for-4 with two runs scored.  Danny Goodbread finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored.  As a team, the Lakers recorded eight total hits in their 6-5 loss to Northampton.

Game two was held on Monday, March 21, at noon.  Mike Magnanti continued his success at the plate going 2-for-3 with an RBI.  Danny Goodbread finished 1-for-2 with an RBI.  Peter Simmons completed 6 innings on the mound, allowing 6 hits and struck out two batters.  

Finger Lakes will continue their Spring Break competition, facing off against Illinois Valley CC, Lehigh Carbon CC and Ocean County CC all in the upcoming days.
