The Finger Lakes Community College baseball team faced the Tribunes from Monroe Community College in a double header contest on Tuesday, April 25. The Lakers split with the Tribunes and now stand with a 12-19 record.
The Lakers took control of game one against the Tribunes, scoring seven of their eight runs in the third inning. Trevor Bradshaw finished with three hits and one run scored. Nick Ferrino had one hit for the Lakers and batted in four runners. Brett Otto and Cory Valentine each had one hit and one RBI. Mike Magnanti had one hit, two RBI's, and scored twice. Stephen Fredendall pitched five innings for the Lakers. He allowed seven hits and one earned run.
The Lakers fell to the Tribunes in game two by a score of 2-0. Austin Teets, Chris Lovin and Mike Magnanti recorded the only hits for the Lakers. Jordan Bartolis pitched three innings, allowing three hits. Chris McDonnell, Alex Mott, and Andrew Jacobs each pitches an inning for the Lakers. They allowed a combined two hits and struck out two batters.
The Lakers will host the Tribunes on Thursday, April 27 in a double header to finish out the four game series. Game one is scheduled to begin at 2pm.
