Aaron Shoemaker Named To 2019 Golden Glove Team

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - Sophomore Catcher, Aaron Shoemaker, was named to the 2019 NJCAA DIII Baseball ABCA/Rawlings Golden Glove Team.

The Golden Glove Award is given to a player each year who was voted for by the NJCAA DIII Baseball Committee based on their individual fielding performances throughout the year.

Out of the 61 games the Lakers played this season, Shoemaker appeared behind the plate in 47 of them. Out of 368 total chances, Shoemaker had 340 putouts. Out of 24 stolen base attempts, Shoemaker caught 19 runners stealing, giving him a .442 runners caught stealing percentage. To top it off, Shoemaker also had a perfect 1.0 fielding percentage. 

Shoemaker recently graduated Finger Lakes Community College and will be attending Ithaca College in the fall where he will continue his baseball career.
