Lakers Eliminated from 2021 NJCAA Region III Final Four

LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Baseball team played their second game of the NJCAA Region III Final Four Tournament against the number one seed, the Herkimer College Generals on Saturday. The Lakers lost 10-0, which eliminated them from the tournament.

After a tough loss the night before, the Lakers were ready to face the Generals. The Generals had come off of a loss to the Erie Community College Kats on Friday. Both teams were fighting to stay alive.

The first two innings of the game were scoreless for both teams. The Generals put their first run of the game on the board in the third inning. It would only go downhill for the Lakers from there. The Generals would put three, two, and four more runs across to end the game after six innings. The Lakers lost 10-0, and were eliminated from the tournament.

Game Leaders for the Lakers were Drew Bailey who went 1-2, Lucas Sulimowicz who went 1-2, and MaXX Countryman on the mound with two strikeouts.
