HUDSON, NY -- The Finger Lakes Men's Basketball team defeated Columbia-Greene Community College on Saturday by the score of 80-63. It was the first Region III game of the season for the Lakers. Finger Lakes improves to 2-0 overall on the young season.

The Lakers got out to and early lead over the Twins and carried a 14 point advantage at halftime. Finger Lakes came out in the second half and extended the lead to as many as 30 on their way to the 80-63 victory.

Freshman Junior Sims led the Lakers with 15 points. Dylan Verkey added 14 for Finger Lakes.

The Lakers will remain on the road on Sunday with a 1pm contest against SUNY-Delhi in Delhi, NY.
