Finger Lakes Defeats SUNY-Delhi 90-75

DELHI, NY -- Finger Lakes Community College defeated SUNY-Delhi by the score of 90-75 on Sunday in Men's Basketball. The Lakers improved to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in Region III play.

Finger Lakes would take a quick lead against the Broncos. Delhi would come back, however, and lead by as many as nine in the half. Finger Lakes would outscore Delhi 20-10 over the final 10 minutes of the half to carry a 40-34 lead into halftime.

The Lakers would remain in control in the second half. They used a 9-0 run early in the second half to widen the margin to 15 points, on their way to a 90-75 victory.

Four Lakers scored in double-figures. Brandon Bullock led the way with 19 points. He also led the Lakers with eight rebounds and seven assists. Junior Sims, Kievonn Banks, and Rahiem Robinson all set new career-highs in scoring. Sims and Banks finished with 17 points and Robinson added 13 for Finger Lakes.

The Lakers will stay on the road on Wednesday when they face Division II Niagara County Community College. The matchup with the Thunderwolves is scheduled for 7:30pm.
