Men's Basketball Goes 3-0 On The Week

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Men's Basketball team ended their week on a fantastic three-win streak. They came out on top against the North Country Community College Saints on Sunday to end their winning week. The Lakers won 95-86.

It was a tight game as soon as tip-off happened. There were five lead changed throughout the game. The Lakers just made it out ahead at the end of the first half. They went to the locker room leading 34-31 over the Saints.

They scored a half-high in the second half, scoring 61 more points. The Saints weren't ready to quit, and score 55 more points in the second half. After numerous fouls nearing the end of the game by the Saints to try to stop the clock, the Lakers would still earn the win. The final score was 95-66.

The Lakers went 31-64 in the field, earning them a field goal percentage of 48.4%. The Saints went 33-70 in the field, earning them a field goal percentage of 47.1%.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Devin Green with 30 points, 14 rebounds, and one block, Hakeem Dobbins with 19 points, and six assists, and Rodrigue Marthone with 17 points, and four steals.

The Lakers will play again on Saturday, November 17th at Mohawk Valley Community College where they will face the Hawks. Tip-off will begin at 1:00pm.
