Lakers Earn Eighth Win Of The Season

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Men's Basketball team racked up their eighth win of the season on Wednesday, against the Bryant & Stratton- Rochester Bobcats. The Lakers won 74-66.

It was a slow start for the Lakers on Wednesday. The Bobcats scored a quick three-pointer to start off the game. This would keep the Lakers fighting for the lead until 12:98 into the first half when Rudy Bragg made a three-pointer that would put them in the lead for the rest of the game. The ended the first half up 42-27.

The Lakers were having more trouble making their shots in the second half. They were outscored 39-32 in the final half. It still would not be enough for the Bobcats to squeeze out a win. The Lakers would take the game 74-66.

The Lakers shot 24-49 in the field, giving them a 49 field goal percentage. The Bobcats shot 23-69 in the field, earning them a 33.3 field goal percentage.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Averi Parker with 22 points, seven rebounds, and four steals, and Rodrigue Marthone with nine points, 14 rebounds, and four assists.

The Lakers will play next at home on Saturday, December 15th. They will play the SUNY Adirondack Community College Timber Wolves at 1:00pm.
