Men's Basketball Finishes out the Weekend 2-0

SARANAC LAKE, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Men's Basketball team finished out their weekend on the road with two wins. They got their final win of the weekend against the North Country Community College Saints on Sunday. The Lakers won 97-88.

 

The Lakers were controlling the game in the first half. They outscored the Saints 49-35. When the Saints came back out of the locker room, they were not going to go down without a fight. The Saints managed to outscore the Lakers in the second half, 53-48, but it was not enough, and the Lakers took the game 97-88.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Hakeem Dobbins with 25 points, five rebounds, and five assists, Gedeon Germinal with 22 points, six rebounds, and seven assists, and Derek Slywka who had 19 points, seven rebounds, and three steals.

The Lakers will play their first home game of the season next, on November 13th. They will play SUNY ESF at 7:00pm.
