Hawks Break Lakers' Win Streak

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Men's Basketball team couldn't keep their win streak alive on Saturday against the Mohawk Valley Community College Hawks. The Lakers lost 95-80.

The Hawks quickly got ahead 10-0 early on in the first half. The shots the Lakers were taking, we just not falling right. The Lakers had quite the deficit to catch up to at halftime. The score was 49-31.

Once the Lakers came back from the locker room, they focused and started catching back up. They managed to outscore the Hawks in the second half, 49-46. Unfortunately they were down by too much at the half, and lost the game 95-80.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Hakeem Dobbins with 24 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and one steal, and Rudy Bragg with nine points, two rebounds, one assist, and two steals.

The Lakers would play again on Sunday, November 17th. They played the Herkimer Generals at 2:00pm.
