Lakers Pull of Second Half Comeback Over Vikings

TROY, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Men's Basketball team redeemed themselves after their two-loss weekend on Saturday against the Hudson Valley Community College Vikings. The Lakers won 82-78.

It wasn't looking so good for the Lakers in the beginning of the game. They went into the locker room at halftime down 41-32. The Lakers did not want a three game lose streak, and kicked it into high gear. They pulled out an exciting comeback and scored 50 points in the second half of the game. They even limited the Vikings' scoring to 37 points. The Lakers toughed it out and won the game 82-78.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Gedeon Germinal with 26 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals, Dante Cannon-Ford with 14 points, two rebounds, three assists, and three steals, and Derek Slywka with 11 points, eight rebounds, and one assist.

The Lakers would play again on Sunday, November 24th at SUNY Adirondack Community College.
