Lakers Go 2-0 In Conference Play

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Men's Basketball team won their second conference game of the season on Thursday night against the SUNY Broome Community College Hornets. The Lakers won 85-54.

The Lakers came into the game very strong. They doubled the amount of points the Hornets scored in the first half. The Lakers went into halftime with a big 47-23 lead. When they came back from the locker room, the Hornets were ready to give a better fight. The Lakers only outscored the Hornets by seven points in the second half. With how big of a lead the Lakers had in the first half, it was definitely not enough for the Hornets. The Lakers won 85-54.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Hakeem Dobbins with 18 points, Gedeon Germinal with 11 points, and Dante Cannon-Ford with 10 points, 18 rebounds, 11 assists, and four steals.

The Lakers look to keep their conference win streak on Saturday, January 11th. They will play Jefferson Community College at home at 3:00pm.
