CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Men's Basketball team got themselves out of their previous three-game losing streak on Saturday. The Lakers beat the Tompkins Cortland Community College Panthers 90-80.

It was not the start the Lakers were looking for on Saturday. With almost two minutes into the game, the Lakers found themselves behind after a made three-pointer from the Panthers. They managed to keep the score at 41-36 going into halftime with the Panthers in the lead.

Hakeem Dobbins made the first basket after the half. The Lakers were still working on coming back. Just over seven minutes into the second half, Slywka grabbed another big offensive rebound that he converted into more points. He cut the Laker's deficit to only three points. From there, the Lakers were really coming back. A few minutes later, Raysean Alston made a layup to tie up the game. It was looking up for the Lakers.
