Amador Continues Hot Streak in Loss

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - For a third-straight game sophomore guard Danny Amador (Naples, F.L./ Palmetto Ridge) put togheter a strong offensive effort to lead the Lakers.

Despite a close early-season matchup where the Lakers would fall just short in a 66-65 victory in favor of the Tompkins Cortland Panthers, the Lakers would fall once more. The Panthers will finish the regular season series up 2-0. Sophomore Danny Amador would finish the game with 17 points and 1 rebound to lead the Lakers offense.

Following Amador was freshman Frankie Oropeza (Rochester, N.Y./ Greece Athena) who would knock down 4 3-pointers enroute to 12 points on the night. Oropeza would pull down 3 rebounds and dish out 3 assists to round out a strong afternoon.

Other contributors for the Lakers were Juan Navedo (New Britain, C.T./ Cornerstone Charter Academy) with 8 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. Sophomore Paxton Creek (Kalgoorie, Australia/ Eastern Goldfields) ended the night with 8 points, 5 rebounds, an assist, steal, and 2 blocks.

Freshman Spencer Reese (Farmington, N.Y.) would add 2 points, 5 rebounds, and an assist and block, while teammate Deonvan Rotmans would pull down 7 rebounds and dish out 5 assists in 31 minutes played. Sophomore Jorge Oropeza (Rochester, N.Y./ Greece Athena) dropped in 4 rebounds and an assist to wrap up his afternoon.

The Lakers will hit the court tomorrow, January 22nd for a conference matchup with the SUNY Broome Hornets at 3 PM.
