Lakers Wrap Up Season on Home Court

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - In their final home game of the season, the Lakers men's basketball team fell to the visiting Cayuga Community College Spartans by a final score of 56-64. Lakers sophomore Danny Amador (Naples, F.L./ Palmetto Ridge) ended his season a strong note, finishing with 20 points to go with an assist and 2 steals in the game.

In addition to Amador's strong performance, teammate Juan Navedo (New Britain, C.T./ Cornerstone Charter Academy) contributed 14 points, 4 boards, and 2 assists and Spencer Reese (Farmington, N.Y.) recorded 7 points and 7 rebounds to round out his night on the hardwood.

Freshman Frankie Oropeza (Rochester, N.Y./ Greece Athena) would have a solid game in his final game of the season with 9 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists. Teammate Donevan Rotmans (Rochester, N.Y./ Gates Chili) provided a spark off the bench, with 4 points, 3 assists, and a steal in 26 minutes of play.

Sophomores Paxton Creek (Kalgoorie, Australia/ Eastern Goldfields), Jorge Oropeza (Rochester, N.Y./ Greece Athena), Danny Amador, Donevan Rotmans, and Juan Navedo wrap up their careers on the Putt Moore Court. With a small group of returners, expect to see many new faces on the hardwood in 2023-24' for the Lakers.
