CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — The Finger Lakes Community College men's lacrosse team played its second straight home game to open the 2021 season, suffering a 23-3 loss to Tompkins Cortland Community College Sunday afternoon at FLCC's turf complex.
Sophomore Schuyler Bredesen (Canandaigua, NY/Marcus Whitman) scored a goal and added an assist, while sophomore Sean Delaney (Victor, NY/Victor) and freshman Jarret St. Hilaire (Brasher Falls, NY/St. Lawrence) each added goals in the loss for the Lakers (0-2).
Freshman Alec Sapienza (Macedon, NY/Palmyra-Macedon) collected seven groundballs and caused a turnover, Delaney scooped up six groundballs and caused two turnovers, and sophomore Keith Barlow (Cooperstown, NY/Cooperstown) recorded 16 saves and had four groundballs for FLCC.
The Lakers are off this week before returning to action with a road game vs. Tompkins Cortland Community College on Wednesday, April 7. Faceoff is set for 4 p.m.
