Bio

Daina Marsh joined the Finger Lakes Community College men's volleyball program as an assistant coach starting in the 2024 season. With a rich background in volleyball, both as a player and a coach, Marsh brings a wealth of experience and passion for the sport to the FLCC men's volleyball team.

Marsh was a member of the women's volleyball team at SUNY Cortland. Her teams achieved impressive rankings including 9th in the national rankings and 2nd in New York State. Throughout her four years at Cortland, Marsh helped the Red Dragons clinch several conference titles, helping the Red Dragons earn NCAA tournament appearances, reaching the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 on separate occasions. Marsh's versatility as a player was evident in her ability to play every position on the floor, earning her the honor of team captain during her senior season. In 2015, Marsh competed in the AVPNext and claimed the Atlantic Zone title, qualifying her for the 2015 Manhattan Beach Open in Manhattan Beach California.

Marsh's coaching journey started during her college years, helping coach camps and clinics, along with conducting private lessons with local volleyball players. Marsh continued to help coach club volleyball throughout her college career, working with 18u, 16u, and 15u teams. Marsh served as the JV volleyball coach at Panther Creek HS in 2008-09, before earning her first coaching position at the college level in 2009 at St. John Fisher University. Marsh would move on to coach the modified girls' volleyball team at Canandaigua Academy in 2016, where she currently works as a Physical Education teacher. In 2017 Marsh moved on to the role of JV coach before assuming the position of varsity girls' head coach in the fall of 2018. Since assuming the position of head coach, Marsh has helped build the Grey Wolves program as a true sectional contender. Her efforts were recognized in 2022 when she was named Monroe County Coach of the Year.

Marsh's wealth of knowledge, passion, and dedication to student-athlete development will make her a valuable addition to the FLCC men's volleyball program.
