Bio

As a three-sport star athlete in high school at Lyons: Smith was a member of the women’s basketball, softball, and track and field teams. A multiple athletic award winner at Lyons, Smith earned Wayne County Most Valuable Player honors, was voted Most Improved Athlete, and was a recipient of the Sportsmanship award. Described as a talented athlete, Coach Henry is excited about what she brings to the Lady Lakers as a forward. Smith brings great physicality and mental toughness to the team.  Her ability to rebound and defend in the post could pose as a consistent threat to opposing teams. If Smith can continuously serve as a threat in the paint, look for her to become a viable starter this season. The freshman is currently majoring in nursing.
