Lakers Start Season With A Huge Win
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Basketball team started their season off with a bang last night against the Roberts Wesleyan JV Redhawks team. The Lakers won 52-19.
The Lakers outscored the Redhawks all four quarters. The finished the first quarter up 9-8. That was the last time the Redhawks were close in score. At the end of the first half, the Lakers were up 17-13. At the end of the third quarter, the Lakers scored 15 more points making the score 32-15. They scored a huge 20 points in the final quarter of the game, and only allowed four points from the Redhawks, making the final score 52-19.
Game leaders for the Lakers were Abigial DeFisher with 14 points, four rebounds, one assist, seven steals, and one block, and Brandy Morrison with three points, 11 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block.
The Lakers travel next, to Clinton Community College on Saturday, November 9th. The Lakers play at 2:00pm.
