Women Finish Out Weekend 0-2

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Basketball team finished their weekend with another loss to the Herkimer College Generals on Sunday. The Lakers lost 86-47.

The beginning of the game was a rough one for the Lakers. It seemed like every time they got the ball, the Generals would play incredible defense that caused lots of turnovers. The Lakers didn't score at all until the score was 6-2. The rest of the quarter looked the same. The Generals outscored the Lakers 27-8.

The Lakers managed to limit the Generals from scoring 20 points in the second quarter, and made more shots for themselves as well. The Generals still outscored the Lakers 18-12, making the score 45-20 at the half.

The Generals had a very similar quarter to the first, in their third quarter. They scored 22 points, while the Lakers only scored eight. The final quarter of the game was similar in scoring. Each team scored 19 points. The Generals were too much for the Lakers, and won the game 86-47.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Abigail DeFisher with 16 points, six rebounds, two steals, and two blocks, Hanna Gent with 11 points, six rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block, and Brandy Morrison with three points, seven rebounds, and one steal.

The Lakers will play again on Thursday, November 21st. They will play at home against Merchurt Northeast at 6:00pm.
