CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Basketball team lost to the Mercyhurst North East Saints on Thursday, 72-59.
The game started off with a three pointer from the Saints. It would be a game of catch up for the rest of regulation play. The Saints outscored the Lakers 22-18 in the first quarter. The second quarter, the Lakers started defending better. Both teams scored 15 points in the second quarter, making the score 37-33 at halftime.
The Lakers could not quite catch back up for the rest of the game. The Saints outscored the Lakers 24-16 in the third quarter, and 11-10 in the fourth quarter. The Lakers lost 72-59.
Game leaders for the Lakers were Abigial DeFisher with 20 points, seven rebounds, two steals, and two blocks, Eliana Mitchell with 10 points, two rebounds, and one assist, and Brandy Morrison with eight points, 16 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and three blocks.
The Lakers look to improve their record on Saturday, November 23rd at Hudson Valley Community College. They will play at 1:00pm.
