Lakers Lose Five in a Row

TROY, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Basketball team lost their fifth game in a row on Saturday against the Hudson Valley Community College Vikings. The Lakers lost 84-47.

The Lakers got off to a very slow start in the first quarter. They only managed to score eight points, while the Vikings more than doubled that at 17 points. The Lakers scored a few more points than they did in the first, in the second quarter, but they could not slow down the Vikings. They went into halftime with a score of 37-20.

The Lakers were able to score even more points in the third quarter, and kept the Vikings under 20 points. Then in the final quarter of the game, the Vikings really broke out. They scored a whopping 28 points. The Lakers lost 84-47.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Abigail DeFisher with 25 points, seven rebounds, one assist, two steals, and two blocks, Elianna Mitchell with nine points, one rebound, and one assist, and Brandy Morrison with five points, nine rebounds, five assists, and one block.

The Lakers would play again on Sunday, November 24th at SUNY Adirondack Community College.
