Lakers Lose On The Road

CORNING, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Basketball team lost to the Corning Community College Red Barons on Saturday. The Lakers went down 75-49.

The Red Barons came out ready to go in the first quarter. They scored over ten points more than the Lakers, putting them in the lead 23-12.

The Lakers continued to have trouble scoring against the Red Barons in the second quarter. They couldn't even get to 12 points again, and went into halftime down 44-23.

The Lakers had quite the deficit to come back from in the second half of the game. They managed to score more than they had in the previous quarters. The Red Barons did not score as much as they had, but they were close. The end of the third quarter was still in the Red Barons' favor, 63-37.

In the final quarter, the Lakers drastically limited how often the Red Barons were scoring. They brought them to their lowest scoring quarter of the game. The Lakers however could not score enough to eliminate some of the deficit, and lost 75-49.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Abigail DeFisher with 15 points, 15 rebounds, and three blocks, and Hannah Gent with eight points, 11 rebounds, three assists, five steals, and two blocks.
