Lakers Drop to 2-4

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Basketball team dropped their game against the Roberts Wesleyan JV squad Wednesday night, 59-43. With the non-regional loss, the Lakers fall to 2-4 on the season.

Freshman guard Mary Ellen Querrie (Romulus, N.Y./ Romulus) led the Lakers in the scoring column, adding 19 points on the night. On the offensive end, Querrie added 3 assists and 3 rebounds, and on the defensive end, 3 steals and 2 rebounds. Querrie shot 8-14 from the field to lead the team in shooting percentage as well. Sophomore guard Izabella Santell (Newark, N.Y./ Newark) added a double-double on the night, with 10 points and a total of 13 rebounds, 10 defensive and 3 offensive. On the defensive end, Santell also grabbed 1 steal.

The Lakers also saw action from Freshman guard Mackenzie Johnson-Boser (Dansville, N.Y./ Dansville) who added 4 points, 11 rebounds and 2 steals. Freshman Abby Nelson (North Rose, N.Y./ North Rose-Wolcott) added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 1 steal while teammate Hayley Andersen (Penn Yan, N.Y./ Penn Yan) added 3 points, 4 assists, 1 rebound and 1 steal. 

The Lakers look ahead to a regional mathup with the Vikings of Hudson Valley Community College on Saturday, November 20th at 1 P.M. in the Putt Moore Gymnasium at Finger Lakes Community College.
