Lakers Drop Game in Spartan Hall

AUBURN, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Basketball team was on the Road Wednesday night in a matchup with the Spartans of Cayuga Community College.

Freshman Mary Ellen Querrie (Romulus, N.Y./ Romulus) was the leader on offense for the Lakers, scoring 12 points and dishing out 2 assist. On defense, Querrie pulled in 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Teammate Hayley Andersen (Penn Yan, N.Y./ Penn Yan) played a complimentary role, scoring 6 points, dishing 3 assists, grabbing 3 rebounds and 2 steals. 

Freshman Abby Nelson (North Rose, N.Y./ North Rose-Wolcott) played a well-rounded game, scoring 7 points, dishing out 1 assists and pulling down 4 rebounds. Teammate Ericka Moody (Lyons, N.Y./ Lyons) enjoyed a productive game on the boards, pulling in 5 rebounds, while grabbing 2 steals and 2 points. Sophomore Chyra Patterson (Brooklyn, N.Y./ Roosevelt) added 2 points and 1 rebound to round out the night for the Lakers.

The Lakers return to the court Saturday, Februrary 12th on the road at Onondaga Community College against the Lazers in a 2 PM matchup.
