Lakers Fall to Nationally Ranked Lazers

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Lakers traveled on the road to take on the nationally ranked Onondaga Lazers on their home court in Allyn Hall Gymnasium. The Lakers put up a fight against the nationally ranked Lazers, trailing only by one after the 1st-quarter, however, the Lakers struggled defensively to thwart the Lazers offensive attack down the stretch, falling 64-24.

Guard Mary Ellen Querrie (Romulus, N.Y./ Romulus) led the Lakers in scoring, adding 12 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. Teammate Hayley Andersen (Penn Yan, N.Y./ Penn Yan) added 6 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assist and 1 steal. Abby Nelson (North Rose, N.Y./ North Rose-Wolcott) contributed 4 points, 1 rebound and 2 dimes on the night, while teammate Ericka Moody (Lyons, N.Y./ Lyons) pulled in 1 rebound and 2 steals on the afternoon.

The Lakers continue their road trip tomorrow, Sunday February 13th when they are on the road against the Cannoneers of SUNY Jefferson at 12 PM.
