Lakers Fall on the Road in Season Finale

DRYDEN, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Basketball team was on the road for their season finale Tuesday night in Dryden N.Y. against the Panthers of Tompkins Cortland Community College.

Freshman Mary Ellen Querrie (Romulus, N.Y./ Romulus) put together an all-round effort in the guards final game of the season. Querrie added in 8 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists to go along with a convincing effort on defense, with 3 steals and 2 blocked shots. Teammate Hayley Andersen (Penn Yan, N.Y./ Penn Yan) joined Querrie in a defensive effort, adding 2 steals of her own, while tallying 11 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist in the matchup.

Freshman Ericka Moody (Lyons, N.Y./ Lyons) continued her consistent play on the boards, pulling down 8 rebounds on the game, to go along with her 3 points, 1 assist and a team-high 3 steals. Freshman Abby Nelson (North Rose, N.Y./ North Rose-Wolcott) enjoyed a productive outing, scoring 5 points, dishing out 1 dime and pulling in 4 rebounds. Teammate Chyra Patterson (Bronx, N.Y./ Roosevelt) contributed 1 point and 2 rebounds in the start.

The Laker conclude their regular season and go into the offseason looking to continue to develop and prepare for the 2022-23' Winter season.
