Robson Finishes with Career High Points in Regional Matchup

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - Lakers women's basketball dropped their first game of the new year to the visiting Mohawk Valley Community College Hawks Saturday afternoon.

For the Lakers, Freshman Izzy Robson (Newark, N.Y./ Newark) finished the game with a career-high 13 points. Robson would snag 2 steals in the process and pull in 5 rebounds to round out a solid effort. Teammate Hayley Andersen (Penn Yan, N.Y./ Penn Yan) would grab a season-high 6 steals in a strong defensive effort. Andersen would go on to add 7 points, 6 rebounds and an assist.

Georgia Luft (Elba, N.Y./ Elba) earned the nod in the starting lineup, scoring 2 points while grabbing a steal and rebound apiece. Teammate Alyssa Thompson (Barker, N.Y./ Barker) earned her third start of the season, scoring 2 points and pulling down 3 rebounds. Freshman Natalie Edmister (Watkins Glen, N.Y./ Watkins Glen) finished the afternoon with 3 points and an offensive board to wrap up her afternoon.

Off the bench, Ericka Moody (Lyons, N.Y./ Lyons) added a rebound, assist, and steal apiece, while teammate Tiana Orbaker (Cato, N.Y./ Cato-Meridan) added 2 assists and a rebound to her tally.

The Lakers will have a quick turnaround, with regional matchup with the Fulton-Montgomery Raiders tomorrow, January 14th at 1 PM.
