Lakers Fall to 4-5 in Conference Loss at Home

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College women's basketball team fell to 4-5 Tuesday night in a 68-27 decision in favor of the visiting Panthers from Tompkins Cortland Community College. 

Freshman Ciana Galvin (Newark, N.Y./Newark) was the standout once again for the Lakers, dropping 11 points. Of that total, 7 points were from the charity stripe. Galvin would make her presence felt on the boards, pulling down 6 rebounds. Galvin would go on to add 2 assists and a pair of steals to her total to round out a strong showing.  

Freshman Lexi Swarthout (Wayne, N.Y./Hammondsport) made the most of her 32 minutes on the floor, going an efficient 3-for-4, good for 6 points. Teammate Jade Roussell (Dundee, N.Y./Dundee) would enjoy a productive outing, adding 2 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks to her stat line. Sophomore Izzy Robson (Newark, N.Y./Newark) would round out her night with 3 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and a block and steal apiece. 

The Lakers will look to get back on track in their next game this Thursday, December 7th at 5 PM against Erie Community College.
