Lakers Fall to North Country on the Road

SARANAC LAKE, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College women's basketball team dropped a non-conference matchup with the North Country Community College Saints Saturday afternoon by a score of 75-47.

Sophomore Izzy Robson (Newark, N.Y./Newark) led the scoring with 21 points, adding 2 rebounds, an assist, and a block to her tally as well. Teammate Leah Williams (Olean, N.Y./Olean) followed shortly behind in the scoring, adding 18 points on an efficient 6-for-10 shooting.

Teammates Georgia Luft (Elba, N.Y./Elba) and Jade Rousell (Dundee, N.Y./Dundee) added 2 and 4 points, respectively, while sophomore Quynn Tallman (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) controlled the boards with 5 rebounds while adding 3 assists and 2 steals to her tally.

Up next for the Lakers is a road trip to Corning Community College next Wednesday, February 7th at 5 PM. The team will then return home Friday, February 9th for a matchup against Herkimer College, before concluding the regular season on the road at Cayuga Community College on Wednesday, February 14th.
