Women's Lacrosse Drops Season Opener

BATAVIA, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College women's lacrosse team opened up their regular season with a road game against Region III foe Genesee Community College. The game marked the Lakers' first in four seasons, having not played a game since 2020. The Cougars would spoil the occasion, taking a 14-1 victory on their home field.

For the Lakers, freshman Madison Belawske (Waterloo, N.Y./Waterloo) would net the lone goal unassisted. Sophomore Brianna Cronberger (Waterloo, N.Y./Waterloo) and freshman Barbara Arsenault (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Athena) would each have a chance at a goal, with 2 and 1, respectively.

The Lakers are back on the road for their next game at Onondaga Community College on Wednesday, April 3rd at 4 PM.
