Russell Nets Two in Home Opener

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College women's lacrosse team welcomed the Genesee Community College squad to the turf on Wednesday evening. The Lakers would fall to the Cougars 15-2, remaining winless on the season. Freshman Marissa Russell (Waterloo, N.Y./Waterloo) netted two goals for the Lakers, both going unassisted. In 60 minutes in goal, sophomore Quynn Tallman (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) held her own, making 26 saves on 41 shots faced.

The Lakers will look to rebound next Wednesday when they will play host to Onondaga Community College at 4:00 PM. Following that contest the Lakers will remain at home, as they take on Monroe Community College in the season finale on Wednesday, May 1st.
