Lakers Drops Region III Matchup With Onondaga

By Logan Weingartner

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College women's lacrosse team continued their three-game home stretch on Wednesday evening, welcoming the top-ranked Lazers of Onondaga Community College into town. This matchup marked the second time these squads faced off this season, with the first occurring earlier in the month. In last night's outing, the Lakers would find themselves on the wrong end of a 27-0 shutout.

Shots were hard to come by for the Lakers as freshman Brianna Cronberger (Waterloo, N.Y./Waterloo) and sophomore Olivia Sheehan (Irondequoit, N.Y./West Irondequoit) attempted the only two of the night.

The Lakers will look to end the season positively when they take on the rival Tribunes of Monroe Community College on Wednesday, March 1st at home. These two teams faced off earlier in the season, with the Tribunes coming out as victors in the first meeting. However, the Lakers will seek to split the series and add a win to the column.
