Bio

In 2023-24, Ryan Staychock concluded his 13th season as head coach of the logging sports program at Finger Lakes Community College. Overall, Staychock finished his sixth season as a member of the coaching staff. Prior to becoming the second head coach in the history of the program at the college, he served as the teams’ assistant coach for three years.

Staychock graduated from Finger Lakes CC in 1996 with dual degrees in natural resource conservation and natural resource conservation law enforcement. While attending Finger Lakes, he was a competitive member of the men’s and women’s woodsmen team.

After graduating from Finger Lakes, Staychock attended Colorado State University for his undergraduate and graduate studies, where he earned his bachelor’s in natural resources management and masters in forest sciences.

Staychock’s goal is to continue building upon the successful history of FLCC’s logging sports program. Under Staychock, the Lakers have continued to impress as one of the most successful programs in the sports history.
