Women's Soccer Splits Labor Day Weekend

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Soccer team finished out their weekend on Sunday with a tough loss to the SUNY ESF Might Oaks. The Lakers lost 6-0.

The Lakers couldn't quite keep up the high energy they had for their game against Roberts Wesleyan JV on Saturday. The Mighty Oaks were dominating the game keeping possession most of the game. The first half ended in a 3-0 deficit for the Lakers.

The Mighty Oaks ended up scoring three more goals in the second half. This would bring the final score to 6-0.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Cassidy Niver with two shots, Megan Allen with eight saves, and Sarah Barker with seven saves.

The Lakers will look for redemption against Mohawk Valley Community College on Wednesday, September 11th. They will play at home at 2:00pm.
