Lakers Can't Sweep Redhawks in Rematch

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Soccer team had a rematch against the Roberts Wesleyan JV Redhawks on Friday night. The Lakers lost 2-1 in double-overtime.

After a big win over the Redhawks earlier in the season, the Lakers went into this game with a lot of optimism. The scoring was started by newcomer, Jordan Naeye, 24:50 minutes into the game. Naeye was assisted by Trinity Maestre. The Redhawks tied up the game almost exactly a minute later. The score would stay the same throughout regulation play.

It wasn't until the second overtime when the score would change again. It would end 2-1 after 104:28 minutes of game play.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Naeye with one goal, Maestre with one assist, and Goalkeeper Megan Allen with seven saves.

The Lakers will play again on Wednesday, September 11th at home. They will face the Mohawk Valley Community College Hawks at 2:00pm.
