Lakers Soccer Falls to MCC

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Soccer team was shut out by the Monroe Community College Tribunes today. The Lakers lost 9-0.

The first goal of the game was scored almost 12 minutes into the game by Abie LaRocca from Anna Berger. Just over 30 minutes into the game, Sierra Edwards netted the Tribunes' second goal of the game off of a corner kick. She was assisted by Autumn Edwards. Sierra Edwards came right back and scored her second goal of the game from Gaia Iacuzzi a minute a half later. The Tribunes scored two more goals before the first half ended. Travina Meeks scored the fourth goal from Alexis Weldy, and Iacuzzi found the back of the net from Erin McCarthy to finish out the half. The Tribunes were ahead 5-0.

The second half was dominated again by the Tribunes. LaRocca started off the scoring again in the final half of the game from Mackenzie Lawless. The three other goals from the Tribunes were scored by Lilianna Hebblethwa, Camryn Dana, and Madelyn Atwood. The final score was 9-0.

Game leaders for the Lakers were Allie Bowe with two shots on goal, Sarah Nelson with one shot on goal, and goalkeeper Sarah Barker with 11 saves.
