The Finger Lakes Community College women's soccer team took on Bryant & Stratton College Monday afternoon, and despite getting 10 saves from freshman Mackenzie Johnson-Boser (Dansville, N.Y./Dansville), the Lakers (1-2) suffered an 8-0 defeat.
The game was scoreless for the first 21 minutes, until Bryant & Stratton (2-0) struck in the 21st minute, which started a run of eight goals in a span of 22 minutes that sealed FLCC's fate.
Sophomore Allie Bowe (Victor, N.Y./Victor) led the Lakers with three shots, followed by classmate Sarah Nelson (Bloomfield, N.Y./Bloomfield) with two shots.
FLCC returns home for three straight matches on its turf facility, beginning with a 4 p.m. clash with Jamestown Community College Wednesday afternoon.
