The Mighty Oaks of SUNY ESF played relentless defense and controlled the tempo for the majority of the game. The Lakers struggled with time of possession, leading to a lack of scoring opportunities for the team, with 7 shots on the game.
Freshman goalie Mackenzie Johnson-Boser (Dansville, N.Y./ Dansville) made 11 saves for the Lakers on the day.
