ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College Women's Soccer team picked up a non-regional win over the Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks JV team. With the win the Lakers improve to 9-5-1 on the season.
The Lakers defense held strong in the game, blanking the Roberts Wesleyan JV squad. Freshman Morgan Collazo (Victor, N.Y./ Victor) put the Lakers up 1-0 in the 26' thanks to a feed from Sophomore Allie Bowe (Victor, N.Y./ Victor). Allie Bowe was able to chip in her own goal shortly after in the 34' from a pass from Phoebe Bates (Newark, N.Y./ Newark). The score proved to be the final for the Lakers, securing a 2-0 victory over the Redhawks.
The Lakers look to take their strong performance into their season finale when the Lakers travel to SUNY Broome Community College on Wednesday Oct. 20th for an important regional matchup.
