UTICA, N.Y. - The Lakers traveled to Mohawk Valley for a regional matchup against the nationally ranked Hawks. The Laker's struggles continued against the Hawks, dropping their fourth straight match, in an 8-0 finale.
Lakers Allie Bowe (Victor, N.Y./ Victor) and Ella Lewis (Lyndonville, N.Y./ Lyndonville) combined for 10 shots, but could not find the back of the net. Freshman Natalie Lecceardone (Manchester, N.Y./ Red Jacket) earned her first start of the season in goal, making 10 saves.
The team hits the pitch this Friday, October 7th against the Tompkins Cortland Community College Panthers at 3 PM. The Lakers home matchup is Lakers Supporting Lakers day for the team; Laker's sophomores will also be honored at halftime for Sophomore Day.
