CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College women's soccer team hosted the visiting Jayhawks from Jamestown Community College for the team's home opener at the FLCC multi-use turf facility. The Lakers would fall to 0-2 on the season, dropping the match by a score of 3-0.
Emily Neuenschwander (Hamilton, N.Y./ Hamilton) earned the start in goal, making 3 saves before freshman teammate Hannah Cowen (Austin, TX/ Dripping Springs) started the second half of the match in goal while Neuenschwander moved to the field. In the process, Cowen would make 3 saves in her Laker debut.
The Lakers would have 11 shots on the afternoon, 8 of which being on goal. The Lakers were led by Georgia Luft (Elba, N.Y./ Elba) with 2 shots, Kailee Lewis (Bloomfield, N.Y./ Bloomfield) with 2 shots on goal, and Madison Belawske (Waterloo, N.Y./ Waterloo) with two shots on goal.
