Lakers Shutout by Timberwolves on the Road

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. - The Finger Lakes Community College Lakers traveled to SUNY Adirondack Community College for a NJCAA Region III matchup with the Timberwolves in their new turf facility. The Lakers would drop their 4th straight match in a 3-0 loss to the Timberwolves.

Lakers freshman Emily Neuenschwander (Hamilton, N.Y./ Hamilton) earned the start in goal and made 11 saves to help keep the Lakers in the match. However, offensive opportunities were sparse for the Lakers against a formidable Timberwolves defense.

The Lakers are back on the road on Wednesday, September 13th for a match with the SUNY Jefferson Cannoneers at 4 PM. The team will then return home for a 12 PM match on Saturday, September 16th against the #2 nationally ranked Genesee Community College Cougars.
